Our sugarcane trays are an excellent choice for the environmentally conscious wanting to make a difference. During sugarcane processing the juice is extracted to make sugar and what remains is raw fibre called bagasse. The bagasse that is traditionally discarded or burned is used to make our trays.
Not only are these trays made from recovered and abundant waste fibre, but they are 100% biodegradable and compostable. Since they are compostable, consider diverting waste from landfills by composting your used trays.
Note that composting is required for biodegradation. Our trays will biodegrade in 30 days or less in a commercial composting facility and approximately 90 days or less in a home composting system. If you would like help with your composting program, please contact us.
